At Hainan Rendez-Vous in China in 2013, luxury yachts, cars, airplanes and other luxury items were on display. In the resort town of Sanya, the richest people of the planet, representatives of famous brands, entrepreneurs and curious people who want to plunge into the atmosphere of wealth and glamor for 4 days gather annually.
Hainan Rendez-Vous was first organized in 2010 and has grown in popularity ever since. For example, in 2011, 15,000 visitors were registered on it, in 2012 – 20,000, including 10,000 specially invited VIPs. And by the beginning of 2013, and the event was held from March 30 to April 2, all tickets for the enchanting show were sold out. At the same time, the categories and the number of exhibits are expanding, but the main focus is still, as noted earlier, on yachts.
Leading shipbuilders of the world annually present their best models, stunning the imagination of ordinary spectators with their sizes, characteristics and rich interiors. Benetti, Heesen, Lurssen, Abeking & Rasmussen, Fincantieri Yachts, Sanlorenzo, Westport, Palmer Johnson, Blohm + Voss, Kaiserwerft, Royal Huisman, Amels, Kingship, Oceanco, Feadship have confirmed their participation in the exhibition. This unique collection of superyachts in 2013 was replenished with the famous “Red Sapphire” from the American shipyard Trinity Yachts, which will be discussed.

The production of the 49.9-meter three-deck beauty began in 2009, and the best engineers and designers were involved in its creation. During the development process, it bore a less sonorous name – the T054 case.
According to the owners of the shipyard, the main emphasis was placed on the use of durable steel and aluminum structures, distinguished by the noble gloss of the surfaces (while many manufacturers prefer to use light, but no less durable composite materials), in accordance with European quality standards and the embodiment of individual desires of yachtsmen. It should be noted that Trinity Yachts provides its clients with the opportunity to create yachts up to 123 meters, decorated in a unique style.
Like many modern models, “Red Sapphire” has indoor and outdoor spaces, harmoniously combined and located in an elegant and stylish case. The interiors were designed by James McFarlane, who managed to recreate the image of an oriental palace with an abundance of marble, noble woods, carpets, gilding, beautiful patterns, impressive configurations, etc. This design option was probably not chosen by chance, as this superyacht is participating in an event held in Asia.
Red Sapphire is powered by two powerful MTU 16V 4000 M90 diesel engines with 3650 hp. each, which allows her to literally fly across the sea, and her rather modest dimensions make her incredibly maneuverable, which, of course, increases the attractiveness of the vessel in the eyes of buyers.
