In a sorry state, this Parisian studio was also arranged in a strange way. It has gained in comfort and brightness thanks to a clever redistribution of living spaces, and even appears much larger. Zoom in pictures on an impressive renovation.
Beyond its dilapidation, the interior was in great need of optimization. This 17 m2 studio had in fact been cut out on the first floor of a duplex to create independent accommodation, and the layout of the space was puzzling. Major rehabilitation work was therefore essential so that the owners can rent it out. Cécile Humbert, to whom they entrusted their renovation project, therefore a great deal of redistribution of volumes to develop functional accommodation. Objective: to use the available space intelligently and create a cozy atmosphere to make the studio pleasant to live in. “It was not located in the brightest part either. The challenge was therefore also to ensure that it took advantage of maximum light, thanks to open volumes and an interior that was not too overcrowded” she explains to us. The old kitchen has been transformed into a comfortable bathroom, and the adjacent room, larger, which served as a bedroom, as a living room. Renovated from floor to ceiling, the studio has gained in comfort, thanks to spaces optimized to the maximum, which also made it possible to create storage. The metamorphosis is spectacular. Dressed in soft shades and warm wood accents, the small accommodation has turned into a real cocoon. Visit in pictures.
